Using Our Pastry

Handling Tips for our Traditional Pies

Pre heat oven to 180 Celsius.
Open parcel and place tray with your already prepared pie (no need to thaw out) on the middle shelf of your oven.
Bake for 45 minutes or until golden brown.
Temperature and duration may require adjustment according to your oven.
Not suitable for microwave oven.

Handling Tips for our Traditional Pastry

Step One


Thaw out pastry in refrigerator overnight (pastry can be kept in refrigerator up to 7 days).

Step Two


Take pastry out of refrigerator and remove from packaging. Allow pastry to acclimatise to room temperature by placing on a clean surface for 15 minutes.

Step Three


Preheat oven to 160-180 celsius. Grease your baking dish (30x40cm) and prepare your favourite filling.

Step Four

Get Rolling

Roll out one packet of pastry on a lightly floured surface to the size of your baking dish.

Place pastry on the greased baking dish and spread the filling.

Step Six

Roll & Brush

Roll out second packet of pastry and place on top of the filling. Brush with melted butter.

Step Seven


Cut into serving pieces and sprinkle lightly with cold water. Bake for 40-50 minutes or until golden brown.
